In addition, Ascendor is one of the few lift manufacturers worldwide to offer a standard warranty period of three years.
Platformlifts from Austria, assembly in Germany
Those who live in Germany and are interested in a platform lift from the Austrian manufacturer Ascendor can purchase it through German cooperation partners. These are authorized dealers with trained personnel who provide on-site consultation and inspection on Ascendor’s behalf and commission the production of the platform lift. Once the platform lift has been produced and tested, it is sent directly to the specialist dealer from Niederwaldkirchen.

The next step is delivery to the customer and installation. After the successful installation of the platform lift, the dealer’s employees explain the operation and functionality of the lift. Prices of Ascendor platformlifts
Since a platform lift is always manufactured as a unique piece and adapted to the individual needs of the customer and staircase, the purchase price varies greatly. Likewise, the shape of the staircase plays a decisive role. Platform lifts for straight staircases are less expensive than models for curved and winding staircases. Basically, it can be said that a normal platform lift without special optional equipment for straight stairs costs between 8,000 and 15,000 €. If the customer wants additional functions, the purchase price can increase up to 18,000 €.

The price increase is mainly due to the rail system, which in this case has to be adapted exactly to the course of the stairs. This special design leads to additional work and higher costs. In the case of an outdoor installation, for example on a garden staircase, the costs usually amount to 13,000 to 25,000 €. In order for Ascendor to provide a binding cost estimate, an on-site inspection by a service representative is essential.
Ascendor platformlifts at a glance
The Austrian manufacturer Ascendor offers a total of four different platform lift models. These are divided into the platform stairlift, platform elevator and platform elevator model types. Each model has the same high quality and safety-related features. All Ascendor platform lifts are lockable to protect them from access by unauthorized third parties. All models feature an audible warning device, a 24-volt (550-watt) rechargeable battery and a remote control. The load capacity of the platform lifts varies depending on the model, but is never less than 250 kilograms.

Ascendor platform lifts are available in two different standard sizes. The dimensions are 80 by 80 and 100 by 80 centimeters. Each model offers an integrated seat that can be folded out if required. For this reason, the platform lifts are suitable not only for wheelchair users, but also for people with a walker. Platform Stairlift PLG7
Ascendor offers the PLG7 model, a platform stairlift optimized for straight flights of stairs. The PLG7 can be installed indoors or outdoors and offers a maximum load capacity of 300 kilograms. Thanks to its slim design, the lift is also suitable for very narrow staircases. The Ascendor PLG7 has a timeless design in aluminum look and can be equipped with various extras. If required, the PLG7 is also available with a radio remote control, an additional barrier for better safety and in different colors. If the platform stair lift is to be used outdoors, the manufacturer recommends a customized rain cover, which can be supplied as a special accessory.

The PLK8 allows transport over several floors and offers a permissible additional weight of 300 kg. The speed of the platform stair lift is automatically reduced on particularly narrow and steep curves and increased on straight sections. The lift can be equipped with various accessories e.g. a special stainless steel folding seat or a radio wall switch.
Platformlift MC 2000
The Ascendor MC 2000 model is a platform elevator for indoor use. The advantage of the MC 2000 is that there is no need for an extra retaining wall or on-site shaft or manhole pit for installation. The compact design allows it to be used even in small stairwells. The load capacity is specified by the manufacturer as a maximum of 500 kilograms and the maximum delivery height is 13 meters. In addition, the MC 2000 is also suitable for transport over up to six floors. The platform elevator can be customized according to the customer’s wishes, for example, in different colors, with a larger glass front and much more.
Lifting platform MB 1000
With the MB 1000, Austrian manufacturer Ascendor also offers a platform lift that can be used both indoors and outdoors. With a permissible load of 230 to 260 kilograms, the MB 1000 offers a maximum lifting height of one and 1.3 meters, respectively. The lift is suitable both for private use and for companies that want to provide barrier-free access for their customers and employees. Since the MB 1000 model is made of aluminum and stainless steel, it is completely waterproof and thus has a very high weather resistance.
