Arjo Lifter – prices, costs and experience

Stair lifts are an important tool for maintaining the mobility of people with limited mobility. However, the stair lift alone is not always enough to ensure that the stay at home can endure. The company ArjoHuntleigh therefore offers various Arjo lifts. The ceiling lifts and belt lifts of Arjo help in the care of people with severely limited mobility..

When people with severe mobility limitations are to be cared for at home, usually more than a stair lift is required. Overhead lifts and belt lifts are important components that allow patients to be cared for in the home environment. ArjoHuntleigh offers these overhead lifts and belt lifts in a variety of styles.

Who is the Arjo Lifter company?

Correctly, the company name of Arjo Lifter is ArjoHuntleigh. The company has only existed in this form since 2007, resulting from a merger of the previously independent companies Arjo and Huntleigh Technology. ArjoHuntleigh, in turn, is part of the Swedish Getinge Group. Overhead lifts and belt lifts are only one mainstay of the international company.

ArjoHuntleigh also manufactures other medical and care products in addition to Arjo lifts. These include hygiene systems, hospital and nursing beds, positioning systems, and products for wound treatment and disinfection. ArjoHuntleigh has around 4,500 employees worldwide. Production takes place in ten different countries around the globe. ArjoHuntleigh products are sold in over 100 different countries.

What products does Arjo have in its range?

Arjo’s product range is divided into ceiling lifts and belt lifts. Ceiling lifts, as the name suggests, are attached to the ceiling or guided by a rail system placed there. Arjo currently offers three models: Maxi Sky 440, Maxi Sky 600 and Maxi Sky 1000. Belt lifts are not permanently installed on walls or ceilings. Rather, they are mobile stand-alone units that can be used flexibly and independently.

Arjo has the Maxi Move, Maxi Twin, Minstrel and Tenor belt lift models in its range. The offered systems are suitable for various applications in the care sector. The range is tailored to individual needs and requirements. Thus, Arjo has lifts for bariatric care patients or mobile ceiling systems that can be used flexibly in several rooms.

Arjo ceiling lifts: Maxi Sky 440

The Maxi Sky 440 is a portable ceiling lift system. It is thus designed to combine the advantages of a permanently installed system with maximum flexibility. The ceiling lift allows a single caregiver to move or transfer patients without physical exertion or manual lifting. One advantage of the Maxi Sky 440 is its light weight of only 6.5 KG. The compact lift cassette also has a carrying handle and can therefore be transported particularly easily.

Due to these prerequisites, the Maxi Sky 440 can be used flexibly in different rooms. Nevertheless, there is no need to compromise on performance. The Maxi Sky 440 lifts persons with a body weight of up to 200 KG safely and reliably. The ceiling lift is operated by hand control or via the control panel on the front of the lift cassette. The Maxi Sky 440 has various safety systems that ensure maximum safety during use. Nevertheless, the Maxi Sky 440 is a particularly affordable stair lift from Arjo.

Arjo ceiling lifts: Maxi Sky 600 and Maxi Sky 1000

The Maxi Sky 600 is a lift for routine transfer of non-ambulatory patients. It has a particularly high load capacity of 272 KG. The rail system of the Maxi Sky 600 is modular and can therefore be designed flexibly. The ceiling lift is compatible with various belts, loops and also walking vests. The simple operation allows programming of lifting speed and the height of the suspension.

When the Maxi Sky 600 battery is empty, the lift cassette automatically returns to the charging station at the touch of a button. A protection circuit prevents the Maxi Sky 600 from being used when the battery charge is too low. The Maxi Sky 1000 from Arjo is also suitable for bariatric patients. The lift cassette can be attached to a rail stand or also to a straight rail on the ceiling. Of course, the Maxi Sky 1000 also has various safety and security features.

Arjo Belt Lifts

The Maxi Move belt lift has been designed primarily for busy care areas. The model features a tilt and swivel 4-point suspension system. The patient is transferred in a comfortable, semi-recumbent position. The Maxi Twin belt lift differs from other belt lifts by its twin mast. This makes the Maxi Twin belt lift particularly stable. In addition, the open design allows direct contact between patient and caregiver.

An inexpensive solution is the Minstrel belt lift from Arjo. It is reliable, more versatile and suitable for all daily lifting and transfer routines. The Tenor belt lift is designed for bariatric patients and therefore has a particularly high lifting capacity of 320 KG. The Tenor Belt Lift can handle a wide variety of tasks, including picking up the patient from the floor (e.g. after a fall or accident).
